Young & Young Interiors
Young & Young Interiors, is our sister company and independent affiliate of Young & Young Architects. This collaboration was born from the essential need to integrate interior design into the architectural process from the very beginning.
Our long standing relationship with Interior Designer Michelle LaVictor whose mentor and business partner, Thomas Vohs, retired led to her joining the Young & Young design team over a decade ago. She expanded our Bloomfield studio and founded Young & Young Interiors to help shape holistic, detail driven spaces alongside our architectural work.
Over the past decade, Y&Y Interiors has had the privilege of working closely with homeowners, designers, architects, and developers. We’re deeply passionate about design, detail, and the personal connections we build through each project.
Our talented team has grown to include Senior Interior Designer Megan Runsat (joined in 2018), Interior Designer Rachel Tapling, Interior Designer Kristen Suhy and Office Manager Deanna Terzo each playing a vital role in our continued commitment to thoughtful, inspired interiors.
We’re excited about the future of Young & Young Interiors and look forward to the possibility of working together.

I’ve always believed that good design and great experiences go hand in hand. With over 30 years in the interior design world, I still wake up excited to help people create spaces that feel like home. My journey began not with furniture or floorplans, but behind a camera capturing landscapes and falling in love with nature’s textures, light, and layers. That early passion continues to shape the way I design today.
Whether I’m hiking through the woods, walking a beach, exploring city architecture, or enjoying dinner under a covered porch, I find endless inspiration in the outdoors. My design philosophy is simple: bring the outside in. Nature grounds us and I aim to bring that calm, organic beauty into every space I touch.
I love using layered textures in each room visually and tactilely. There’s something deeply satisfying about a space that feels as good as it looks. I don’t follow just one style; instead, I design for the individual. Every client is different, so every home should be too. That’s why our spaces are not only visually stunning but also deeply personal.
From mountain homes and lakeside retreats to cozy cottages and city lofts, I let each location and client’s lifestyle guide the design. We work in a relaxed, honest way staying hands on, paying close attention to the details, and always putting our clients first. Our values, our love for what we do, and our commitment to excellence set us apart.
Designing someone’s home is personal and it should be fun. As Don Young said, “Enjoy the Journey.” That’s what we do here. We enjoy the process, we build relationships, and we create spaces that feel like you.
Megan Runsat
Hi, I’m Megan a senior interior designer with a deep passion for creating spaces that are as functional as they are beautiful. Since 2010, I’ve been immersed in high end residential design, collaborating closely with clients, architects, and builders to bring dream homes to life through renovations, new builds, and turnkey projects.
I earned my degree in Interior Design and Construction Management from Central Michigan University, graduating magna cum laude. My education instilled in me a profound appreciation for the balance between form and function. I believe that while design is a state of dreaming, the specifics and details are critical to making those dreams a reality.
What truly drives me is the opportunity to transform spaces into reflections of the people who inhabit them. I find joy in designing small, intimate rooms those cozy corners of a home that offer the greatest opportunity for customization and express the true personality of an individual. To me, good design is about creating welcoming spaces that function effortlessly and feel like home.
I’m meticulous by nature, with a strong focus on details. I document everything thoroughly to ensure that each project runs smoothly and meets my clients’ expectations. I often say that a designer is just a fancy word for problem solver where there’s a will, there’s a way.
Outside of work, I live in Royal Oak, Michigan, with my husband, our two sons, and our beloved dog. I cherish collecting beautiful china, hosting gatherings, and filling our home with fresh cut flowers. Coffee is my constant companion, fueling both my creativity and my busy family life. While I consider myself a traditionalist at heart, I strive daily to embrace modern minimalism a delightful challenge with a young family in tow.
If you’re looking to create a space that truly reflects your personality and lifestyle, I’d love to help you bring that vision to life.
